Privacy Policy

Intellist ("we," "our," or "the app") is a list and inventory management app that helps you organize items, track quantities, and automate restocking with NFC tags. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding your data.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

• Email address
• Full name
• Profile photo URL (if you sign in with Google)
• Authentication provider (email or Google)

Content You Create

The app stores content you create, including:

• Lists and list settings (name, description, room, type)
• Items (name, description, quantity, value, tags, photos)
• Actions (quick-action shortcuts linked to items)
• Automations (threshold-based restocking rules)
• Groups and group memberships (Pro feature)

NFC Tag Data

If you use the NFC feature, the app reads the unique identifier from NFC tags you scan to link them to your lists or actions. We do not collect any other data from NFC tags.

Subscription Information

If you subscribe to Intellist Pro, your subscription status (active, trial, expired) and product identifier are processed through RevenueCat, our in-app purchase provider. We never receive or store your payment card details — all payments are handled by Apple through the App Store.

Information We Do NOT Collect

• Location data
• Contacts or address book
• Camera or microphone recordings
• Device advertising identifiers
• Analytics or usage tracking data
• Crash reports or diagnostics

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and operate the app, including creating and managing your account
• Sync your lists, items, and other content across your devices
• Enable shared groups so you can collaborate with others
• Process and manage your subscription status
• Deliver group invitations via email address lookup

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or selling to third parties.

3. How Your Data Is Stored

Local Storage

Intellist is designed as an offline-first app. All of your content is stored locally on your device in a database and remains fully functional without an internet connection. Authentication tokens are stored securely using your device's encrypted keychain.

Cloud Sync

When you are online, your data is synced to our cloud database hosted on Supabase. Cloud data is protected by row-level security policies, meaning you can only access your own data and data shared with you through groups. All data transmitted between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Supabase — Cloud database and authentication. Your account information and synced content are stored on Supabase's infrastructure. Supabase Privacy Policy
• RevenueCat — In-app purchase and subscription management. RevenueCat receives your anonymous user identifier and subscription status to manage purchases. RevenueCat Privacy Policy
• Google Sign-In (optional) — If you choose to sign in with Google, your name, email, and profile photo are provided by Google's OAuth service. Google Privacy Policy

We do not use any analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. We do not share your data with data brokers or advertisers.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Your data may be shared only in the following limited circumstances:

• Groups: If you join or create a shared group, other group members can see the lists, items, actions, and automations assigned to that group. Your name, email, and profile photo are visible to other group members.
• Service providers: Our third-party infrastructure providers (listed above) process your data solely to operate the service on our behalf.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, legal process, or governmental request.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Your content remains stored as long as you maintain an active account. When you delete content within the app, it is marked for deletion and permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.

Data Export: You can export all of your data at any time from the "Data & Privacy" section in your account settings. The export includes your profile, lists, items, actions, automations, groups, and memberships in JSON format.

Account Deletion: You may delete your account and all associated data by contacting us at the email address below. Upon account deletion, all personal data will be permanently removed from our servers.

7. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including:

• Encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS for all network communication)
• Row-level security policies on our cloud database restricting access to authorized users only
• Secure, encrypted on-device storage for authentication tokens
• No storage of payment or financial information

8. Children's Privacy

Intellist is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you (available via the in-app data export feature)
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Withdraw consent for data processing

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the app after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
